The Ministry of Tourism, India, is the prime agency which formulates the programs and the national policies for the promotion and development of tourism in India. It also co-ordinates activities of State Government, Central government Agencies along with the Private Sector to attract more and more people to Mumbai, as a tourist destination hub of India. The Ministry of Tourism, India is headed by the Union Minister for Tourism.

- National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT) along with the Institutes of Hotel Management
- Indian Institute of Tourism and travel Management (IITTM) and National Institute of Water Sports (NIWS).
Some of the roles and functions of Ministry of Tourism, India are as follow:
